what a nightmare, tried again to do these backing ptfe/nylon seals and again fiting them caused them to distort and leak.
i rang the hydraulic firm that does our more specialised cylinders and they surgested i put a slit/cut across the ring at an angle. i tried that and it worked a treat!!! time will tell if it lasts.
