Very doable, have done hundreds literally. Jack up put on stands. Drive roll pin out of the nut end of axle. Turn steering all the way to right, remove nut size 1 5/8. I used a crowsfoot about 2 ft hit the footed end and pointy end in axle. Grease it then beat out. Jack up high enough to get drive tire out, check your adapter and bearing it rides in for wear. You have a inner and outer, your definitely gone want to change both. Drain oil if there's any in it, 1/4 inch drain plug socket head. Pry seals out, check that retainer ring is not broke on inner. Tap new seals in with small hammer, or my co worker made a installer that pulls both seals in at same time. I made it he dreamed it up. Lol First time I messed two seals up it was history for me and my RD. That's best case scenario, you may have to drop lower drive and get it where it meaning the axle can be beat out with largest hammer you can find cause if it hasn't been greased or if it has alot of miles it's gone be lack of lube seized or wear seized. Put it on floor, after draining oil, take 6 3/8th bolts out of mating of upper and lower drive unit, Jack up slowly, separate, get it out and beat the **** out of it., There are shims between. Upper and lower drive unit , careful not to lose or drop in lower drive and cork gasket that you may be able to reuse. Only plus to dropping it is seals are very easy to install. Reassemble , fill with oil and ride brother. Hope this helps. I can give you Crown pns if needed. Let me know
