hey paul,
yeah that N serial number is pre 2000 and i do not have any books easily accessible that far back, closest thing i have is an RG series which is 2 models past when they went to the FE and F2 mazda engines. The distributors in those are not the same. Yours has a UA engine in it.

As for those mast hoses your talking about the cloth wire braid hose, most units now do not use that , they use parker rubber flex hose and for a period they used synflex plastic flex hose. If your dead set on the cloth braided hose you probably won't get that from a dealer as a stock hose. You'll have to find someone that an make them up. You could ask the hose shop if they would make them up if you ordered the hose or get them to do it. It would be a special order most likely if they don't normally stock it. That type hose is just not that common anymore since these hydraulic hose companies came out with the synflex and parker rubber coated steel wire braided hose. That parker hose is a good hose, it has wire braid in it but it's just rubberized on the outside, it flexes just the same usually. You in all likelyhood will not be able to get stock hoses from the factory or dealer, they will try to sell you the current type hose sold which at the moment is the parker or maybe synflex hose. They will recommend you take them off and have them made up.
