I have a forklift I purchased at an auction and need to be able to get parts for it.

Model: FTP-080
Serial: R1898-21
OTIS Baker Manufacturer, but Otis is the only name on the capacity plate.
Engine: 6 cylinder flat head, propane.
Capacity: 8500 lbs.
Fuel: propane

1. is there a website where you can punch in serial numbers or model numbers to get information on the machine (year mftr, etc).
2. Cannot find any information for current manufacturer. I know they went through buy-outs over time, but surely someone is out there making parts, etc with a centralized database for this equipment?
3. Best place for parts online? I need a distributor and rotor and so far, unless I can tell them the engine make, they cannot get me parts, and say they have no way to look up how to identify the engine maker--so that is my main quest at this point so I can source some parts.

I am not sure how to post a photo here, new to the forum. The distributor cap is a delco model. Number on the side of the head is F227A-605__(can't make it out) M. I do not have any other identifying information for the unit.

Thanks!
