Greetings from Florida! New member and first time poster.
I have been perusing the site as I just purchased a used/abused 20MT Stacker that has no power. Seller purchased 3 propane forklifts and let the walkie sit. He states that it ran when they parked it. Owned by a little old lady from Pasadena that never operated it in rabbit mode. Well, I made the last part up, but it doesn't look too bad on the outside. The inside is a cluster...
First thing I plan on doing is pulling the batteries and charging them on the bench. Not sure how I'm going to do that yet. I have 6 and 12 volt chargers, but I'm thinking they should be charged together at once. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Next I will disconnect and clean all of the connections and there are plenty of them! There is quite a bit of information available on this site thus the reason for joining. I will be watching the forums and any replies to this post.
Edit: I now know the motors are in working order! I direct wired a 12v battery to the lift motor just to see if it was DOA and it lifts beautifully! Also wasn't thinking that was going to bypass the drive motor as well but it did, and that works too at least in slow speed. I'm pretty stoked to have picked this up for 320 bucks!
