That machine may be really difficult to get parts for, my reference docs do not mention it at all.

He sells aftermarket parts for lifts, was a service manager for Toyota heavy equipment for about 40 years, knows these old machines better than anyone and will give you the low-down on your machine. I am doing a head job on my old Toyota lift, Tom helped me out a LOT with advice and parts.

I tried that at 3 different stores, but nobody here will look for anything if it doesn't show up on their computer. The parts I need are basic, but I can't even tell them what engine it has for sure.

What parts do you need?

If the parts for engine and transmission, I suggest to look on the surplus store or other auto parts and bring sample. We have client that same on your unit. I can't find any parts on the dealer or other parts provider. What we did is as per sample. And make some modification like on starter and alternator.
