Bil-jax ESP19:
Platform removal?

Hello,
I'm looking at a Bil-Jax ESP19 that has been sitting for quite a while, it needs new batteries to start the check out. I need to remove the platform to get to the batteries. How is the platform removed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
