Discussion:
Need a CLARK part # or Wagner cross reference #

The nearest Clark dealer is about 3 hours (one way) from here. My old Clark CFY40B needs a master cylinder or a master cylinder rebuild kit. I can't find either.

If I had the Clark part number..I'm sure my local NAPA could cross reference it and get me a rebuild kit.

The part number on the master cylinder is WAGNER Lockheed FD 6656. It has a 1" bore..standard 1" seals.

Would appreciate any help.

thanks

roadrat:

Took the master cylinder down to my local NAPA, the kid wasn't real sure what I had. Requested that he try to cross reference the part number...after another blank look I just left.

The cylinder has (3) 3/8" mounting holes centered 2-3/8 inch apart on the back (triangular pattern). There is only one line coming out the front.

I found one at helmarparts.com that looks just like it. Helmar part # 0170209-00 for $18.00. I called about it but they didn't have it in front of them to measure it up. If the bolt pattern is the same...I know it would work.

I have seen the one you describe. All I need is the round neoprene seals. Already honed it out... the bore even looks new.

Thanks
Ed

ALSO: There is one on Ebay auction number
140224525856 (the one on the right) that looks just like it.

Does that master cylinder have two 3/8 inch holes through the side that go all way through to mount it?
The NAPA store should be able to use that Wagner
number, I have had good success in the past
