Discussion:
LPS forklift tires

Our forklifts tend to drag in a lot of dust/dirt from outdoors. The dirt settles on the product which is unacceptable to customers. It is not feesible to dust products. Staffing and workload demand also doesn't allow floor sweeping as often as used to.

Are there tires availabe for indoor/outdoor use that do not drag that much dirt.

We run more relativelyl new (1-3 years old) Yale and Toyota LPS lifts.

one do a clean sweep of the place
designate outdoor and indoor units
indoor try to use electric as they have 0 emissions and no dust in the radiator to blow all over
oudoor use lpg since they can operate in the rain i always reccomend pnuematics unless your driveway is in perfect condition
(i always see using electrics in the rain is kinda like watching your new flatscreen tv in the rain)
some manufacturers offer weather proofing options for electrics
swap pallets at the door (staging area)
i service a fencing company (inj molding) that uses this setup and their productions/storage area remains clean

Josie,
Before anyone can offer a solution to your dilema they would need to know - I feel certain someone in your company can help you with responses to these these requests for additional information.

1. first describe what type of truck you are using -
a.) Lift capacities,
b.) units equipped with press-on solid (or cushion) tires or pneumatic tires,
c.) engine powered or battery powered. d.) what type of operating surfaces does the unit(s) work on both in side & out side? Concrete, asphalt, crush & run, etc.
