Discussion:
Linde and VW engines

Hi, I have orders that have been delayed by Linde in the US, due they say, to issues with the VW engines. The dealership is supplying stand-in units for the 3 - 6 weeks delay, but we are now nervous that we are not getting the full story from Linde why there was an engine problem and what their work around is. Is this to do with the VW emmisions issues? Has anyone got any further info, and should we be worried? Any info gratefully received - thanks

Have linde dropped VW completely? and replaced with Ford? It sounds a strange replacement.

Hi, the linde dealer has said the current delay is down to the VW engine. Have they recently changed to Ford?

We are just becoming increasingly concerned that the engine either is being modified due to emissions and whether that will impact performance, as well as being angered by the short notice given by the dealer and the vagueness of the information they have provided.

Are there any other details you may have?

What model Lindes are you waiting for? I wasn't aware of any Linde IC trucks that are made in the US.

Fact of the week
Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
