Discussion:
Lifting issue

Got a unit that when the platform goes to stage there is a hard clunk when the platform hits the stops on the mast channel and stages. What ever that cushion effect is does not work and has failed. Anyone have an idea how that cushion effect works and where I can start looking? All their order pickers do it but for some reason this one is louder than most.

It's possible adjusting the free lift chains might help.

Rubber cushion are all good. Just installed a new cushion spring at the top of the lift cylinder. Things work like it should but just a loud clunk when the carriage connects with the mast during staging.

Is the rubber cushion on the block at the top of the mast?

In March 2002, identical twins in Finland died on the same day in similar accidents within hours of each other. A 70-year-old man was killed by a truck while cycling; hours later, his twin brother was killed by a truck on the same road, about a mile away, before the family had been informed of the first accident.
