is there anything i can check for, before i remove hydraulic pump? There is no tilt, raise, or steering. I'm leaning towards pump being bad because the motor spins when any of the three commands are called upon, but not sure if there is a way to test pump flow. Also, is there a way to lilt mast down to get more room to work on things with no tilt action at this time? it was tilted all the way back when it broke down and clearance/work room is minimal.

it ended up being the motor and pump splines were completely shot and motor was free wheeling and pump doing nothing....
If you can get to them there are a couple solenoids you could check on the hydraulic manifold block between the power unit and the mast. The block is covered by a black shield with 4 -10mil bolts on each side (you don't have to remove them all the way.) On the right hand side of the block there are 2 solenoids stacked labeled SVT (solenoid valve tilt) and under that one. Check to make sure they are getting 24v when requested, they shouldn't ohms higher than 40ohms. Check solenoid SPA as well on the left side of that black 24v no more than 30ohms. Code 731 refers to tilt not functioning. Check the tilt sensor on the right side tilt cylinder on the power unit is functioning and not stuck.
It sounds like you may have lost the splines in the pump or on the motor. There is a quick connect test port for hydraulic pressure on a steel line near the pump. I believe its on the left hand side of the lift or on the pump. You would need a hydraulic pressure tester but it looks like a little nipple. There is a line next to the test port for steering. You could remove that line and cap it, put a hose over the fitting on the pump and into a bucket. Secure the line and try to lift half dozen times for a couple seconds, if you don't get fluid out of the line the pump is bad or the suction line, strainer or hose could be obstructed. As for tilting you will likely need to disconnect the tilt cylinders and secure the mast with another truck if you don't want to disconnect hydraulic lines.
the only event code i get is 731 which is not a problem as i did the test for the code and was lead to the access 7 being bad and changed it out with a good one from another lift and no change in problems. is there away to tilt the mast down without unhooking the hydraulic lines in this situation?
if the motor spins when you activate functions and none work and you have lost steering also?

-there should be a manifold block with a solenoid on it that enables hydraulic operation when the system is activated, it isn't the function manifold block, this is a single manifold block with a solenoid by itself probably mounted near the steering tiller area. According to the hydraulic schematic it shows this in the system.
Also are there any event codes displaying on the dash display?
that may give you a clue what might be wrong? If anything electrical goes wrong there is usually an even code triggered.
