Intermittent transmission

Sometimes it will work great at others it want move in forward or reverse, serial 46567. Any help figuring this out would be great. I have checked all fuses and they are good. Checked seat switch it is good , found a controller for something on the left side of the dash behind the fuse panel,any ideas what this is or controls ? Thanks for input if you can.
