Discussion:
Identification of data plate

I have an old Linde forklift and know nothing about it. I has a Perkins engine and it's diesel. Has the data plate but I can't read what the stamped number are supposed to be. Model # is H40D. So I think the serial number is next: 352F10018340. Next set of #'s is 6493301. Diesel then 2641 and last 150058. To the right of these, there are two columns of 5 "X's" each. Is there a website that I can go to find this info? I think I'm having problems with the Fuel cut off solenoid. It runs good, then it may decide to turn off and it seems like it isn't getting fuel and won't start. If I leave it for a day or two and come back to it, it may start if it feels like it, but will turn off after a while. Never know how long it's going to run. Sure would like to know more about this forklift as it works good when it runs. Thanks, Joe.

Any help appreciated!
Was looking for some info on my forklift and I came across my post back in May 2019. Thanks for the reply, it was the fuel solenoid. I replaced it and has been good since. Thanks.

You have the model and serial # correct. That is pretty much all of the information that you will need to get parts etc. It has a Perkins 1004.4 engine. This is strong dependable forklift.
It is equipped with a fuel solenoid. I would check it as well as the wiring back to the key switch as well as the switch itself.
