Discussion:
Hyster H60FT Weak Brake Operation

Working on a Hyster H60FT, serial P177V13403T, customer concern was unit wasn't wanting to stop when stepping on brake/inching pedal. Tested unit and found that right side was only side locking up. Tried adjusting shoes with no change. Pulled left side apart and found the wheel cylinder was blown. Installed new wheel cylinders, brake shoes, and hub seals. Bled the brakes and unit still has a weak pedal like there is air in the system. When I bled the brakes I had a good solid stream of fluid coming out of the bleeders. Is it possible there is some sort of valve holding air for the auto brake (unit comes to stop by itself if throttle is not touched while in gear) setup on this unit? Or do I just need to keep bleeding this thing the old fashioned way?

Redhead,

Since wheel cylinder is leaking I would suspect master cylinder. Make sure all adjustment are correct first for brake pedal. With all adjustments correct and still sluggish brakes, replace the master cylinder. Good Luck

Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
