Hi, would this apply still to a side shift cylinder? There's no bleeder screw for the cylinder but on the mast cylinder and tilt cylinder.

It would depend on what hose you replaced but generally speaking you just need to cycle the function to get the air out. On lift cylinders you may have a bleeder at the top of the cylinder on the side. Air in a lift cylinder will give you a bouncy load when lifting or lowering. You just crack the bleeder until the air stops and oil comes out.
