Yeah but it is a long way from the UK to the closest Equipment Depot location in the US and I'd bet a six pence the UK has some different regulations than the US.
You need to take training for the same.. Eqdepot provide complete training as like Complete Aerial Instructions, Operation Rules, Tip over/Turnovers, Operator Maintenance, Forklift Stability, Refueling, Classes of Forklifts, Lifting, Stacking Loads..
Thanks date! The guy seemed an idiot tried to tell me I'd have to go to Glasgow uni! Obviously wasn't wanting any competition. He was instructing on a counter balance and was in for half an hour on his phone talking about fishing.
Absolutely not! NEBOSHH might be useful, but is certainly not essential. All you need to expand your qualification is an operator certificate on the machine type concerned. Obviously, practical working experience also matters, the more the better. Remember, however, that to gain the support of one of the accrediting bodies and to enhance the attractiveness of your training operation, to work commercially, you should also be accredited. This is an annual chore, but is worthwhile.
Thanks again. Was speaking to an instructor today and he said I'd have to get nebosh certificates etc and would cost me to much money to get other tickets for other machines to instruct. Is this true or was he pulling my leg?
Counterbalance is enough to get you started before you start spending money adding machines. As a commercial instructor the more equipment you can train on adds a whole new list of potential customers. Logically your next machine should be Reach truck.
Mentor wanting to give me an interview but something seemed fishy with them. I only have counterbalance certificate upto 10 tonne is that enough. Or should I have tickets to teach on other machines? thanks again
The easy option is to work for a company like mentor but the pay is around 80 pounds per day which includes all expences or better still start knocking doors & making phone calls where you should be looking at a minimum 125+exes
