We are having a rash of head gaskets fail,We have planned the head /Block
Head is in Thickness size.
New head bolts.
Correct torque to yeild specs.
Looks like Antifreeze eating gasket?
We are using OEM gaskets ,

We did find out what was causing the problem?
The compression was to high 230lbs.
If we planed the head it made a majour impact on the compression ratio,we even had the machine shop port out the head to lower the comp rate. Changed very little.
Even with a new head and measureing the block thickness we still had high comp.
We also think that when the engines were manufactured they took to much of the block too get the block deck flat.
We were able to get the comp down to 176 lbs by putting in two head gaskets and a head saver shim between.040"
Yes it is mickey mouse but next step was to buy a new engine.

We had a number of headgaskets seem to of had several issues from improper headbolts to a passage in the head not open.Once a head was removed if a mechanic used an a high speed air disc it caused an uneven deck surface?Still the dealer/manufacturer was unsure?

Are you using any CopperCoat or High-Tach adhesive when installing the gasket?

Did you re-torque the head bolts, after running the engine to operating tempature?

The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
