Discussion:
H60T-01 396B conversion from gas to diesel engine

Hi all!!
Following project is getting underway.
Forklift was originally bought with conversion from VR6 gas to VW1.9TDI engine. They probably couldn't figure out the electronic injection pump, so they instaled cable operated pump from even weaker engine. Result is that current TDI engine is weak 50-55 kW my estimate. Forklift can barely move on slight uphill when 50% loaded. So we are putting in 1.9TDI as well but 83kW model. Electronically controlled. Choice of the engine is mainly because of availability, mounting plates are already there, so it is ready to fit mechanically.

My plan is to use hydraulic pressure signals to control PRM of the engine electronically. Don't know exact details yet, but I think I can pull it off.

Anybody tried this before?
I'm open to any interesting conclusions, worries, questions etc.

Thanks!!!
