Discussion:
Gearbox / Hydraulics

Hi - have just acquired a Cat V35d LPG truck. Given teh engine a service and have rebuilt the LPG system so she starts and runs beautifully now. Everything works i.e. she lifts, shifts and drives however when you engage forward or reverse with the brake on the engine revs really bog down and if you try using lift without any revs engine dies. If you rev just slightly she jumps back to life and lifts etc really well, she also drives well and doesnt struggle under load.
Ive checked hyd and gearbox oils and both seem good and to level, I assumed there would be some form of lift gauze filter somewhere but I cant find it. She has a ZF WG80 box and the reopair manual says it on the top left opposite side to dipstick but there is no such beast on mine just a flat plate on the casting ! Anyone any good ideas please as although she is running and works I would love to get her back to perfect ;-)
