Discussion:
Forward takeoff is too fast/jerky

Just bought this lift with 2200hrs and the forward pedal is a nightmare. When I press the forward pedal nothing happens for a quite a distance of pedal travel. You hear the engine speed up slightly then suddenly it grabs and takes off. It takes off slow but not slow enough to creep up on a pallet rack without crashing into it. The reverse pedal is great and its super smooth. You can make the lift back up extremely slow.
Any ideas? Is there something that I can adjust?

I think you may have the problem with the symmetry adjustment of the drive transmitter. The adjustment may be done by turning the rear and front bushing (in travel direction) of the transmitter device.

It's not so easy to descibe it without drawings.

The drive transmitter - it' the black box on the top/rear of the front axle.
I has two valves stretching on sides and the small axle linked with the lever towards the back of the truck. There are (on the axle) the bushings to be adjusted.

Good luck
