well lets guide you in the right direction
this code 524264-14 has to do with the transmission signal to its respective computer
according to the code chart it has to do with a sensor signal malfunction on the transmission, either no signal or intermittant signal from TISS, TOSS1, or TOSS2
or could be a clutch pack slipping or out of calibration.

you can check the respective wiring from the transmission sensors and see if there are any loose or broken wires.
anything beyond that you will most likely need a laptop to monitor whats going on and troubleshoot it from there, or buy a service manual as was mentioned previously.

good luck

If it wasn't for human error and negligence, I would have nothing to do most days.

Most of the diagnostic tools are in the dashboard display, if you have access to the password.
Most have a factory set code, but it is typically changed by the dealer during the PDI. This is to prevent bored operators, or other untrained persons from altering the performance or features in the machine, If you are the service provider the local dealer should provide you with access, if they will not give it to you the owner of the machine can request it. If they do not wish to give it out, they will typacally send a tech to reset it to factory or customer requested access code.

Once you access the display, you can access the trouble code logs, this should get you make things easier. Once you have the code, post it or email me and I or one of there other fellows on this page will point you in the right direction.

Kevin, around here, it is VERY common for the local Hyster tech to reset the password to suit himself, so you do kind of need to get the password or get it set to something you can know by the local Hyster dealer.

"it's not rocket surgery"
You do not need a laptop or the software to fix these truck's. It can all be done with the book

You might be able to get a diagnostic and troubleshooting manual but at last account, the software to access the machine with a laptop was not available to the public. Anniston Army Depot and Goodyear wanted to purchase and Hyster said no way.

Transmission toss sensor. Check wiring.
WIRE # 108, (GREEN) = SENSOR GROUND
WIRE # 256, (RED) = SENSOR SUPPLY
WIRE # 547, (WHITE) = SENSOR SIGNAL 1
WIRE # 546, (WHITE) = SENSOR SIGNAL 2
At sensor connector, measure voltage across sensor supply and sensor ground. Should be 5v.
If not move the neg lead of meter to frame ground and see if you have 5v.
Also check for breaks back to the vsm.

Order the manual from the dealer or an outside dealer source. It will save you many headaches.

Fact of the week
The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
