Edward, Karl has proved the starter motor works but there is probably a neutral start switch in the line that may be open circuit and possibly a relay to take the load of the ignition switch, I'll admit Im not familiar with this model but I am familiar
with alot of Yale models, Gas and Diesel, trucks,
I feel you need to locate these two parts and check them out,
Regards Titus
when you say "come on and when i turn the key nothing", does that nothing mean the lights no longer would come on? (means the battery terminal and posts need cleaning or replacement, or the ground from the neg. post to the frame needs checking/replacement). tell us what size was the wire you connected to and how big of a jumper wire did you use, when you did get it started ?
Yes it's in netrual. When i turn the key on all lights come on and when i turn the key nothing
yesterday i tried hooking a cable from the positive side of the battery to the starter and it turned right over and the forklift started right up. drove it around for a few min. Cut it off and it wouldn't start back. i've checked these fuses all good. iono im lost !!!!!!!
is it in neutral?
There are a few things between the key and the starter motor, and "power" is not a specific enough reading to decide anything.
If you jack the drive wheels off the floor, and then jumper (only for a small moment) between the battery positive (large cable and post on the starter) and the smaller wire on the starter, what happens?
