Discussion:
Fault F1 and 59, 61 ser# 37706

Have a intermittent complete lift shutdown, when this occurs F1 is displayed and occasionally 61 and less often 59. the dash display then flickers and alarm sounds hesitantly, as if loss of power. My manual does not include a F1 fault. Suspecting a fuse i changed the F1 fuse with no improvement. This lift will fault and shut down daily for a few weeks then operate fine for months.
Toyota suspects the dash card or wiring. Removed the wiring and tested with loads, tests ok. ground strap and negatives ok. Steer motor brushes have been changed several times to remedy 59 fault. any advise would be appreciated.

Solved? Received some info from Toyota product support. They recommend removing the chip from the dash control card and reinstall. They suspect is the chip loosens over time and causes the various faults.
The truck did fault out when chip was touched, so here's hoping.

Solved? turns out the fault F1 is Watchdog card in the dash-display which looks forward for correct inputs then allows lift to operate. If watchdog times out for no apparent reason the this means the watchdog is faulty (F1) and must be replaced. However, managed to duplicate this fault by removing Fuse 1 while operating and also will display F1 if the line contactor is opened when operating. Suspect rough driving surface opens the line contactor contacts. More tests next week.
