Hi Popeye,

If I were to replace the hydraulic encoder what would be the approximate cost.

Also any specific reason why this error is caused?

Hydraulic motor encoder, wiring for it or access 2 problem maybe even temp sensor in motor. Might be hard to find if intermittent.
