Problem resolved. Motor lit right up with the new parts. Thanks everyone for all the help.
The folowing part #'s are from Napa- Cap-AL149, Rotor-AL150, Points-CS729A, Condenser-RR174, Wires-700172 (universal solid wire core- you have to cut & install ends), Plugs- AC, C87 or Autolite, 386. I can get you the year ealy next week.
all T60B's had the 4cyl
apparently mcfa did not feel the need to scan a copy of the service manual, all they show on thier site is parts manual
Do yourself a favor & do a complete tune- up ( Dist cap, rotor ignition points, condenser, wires & plugs). My e-mail is in my profile- if you send me pictures of your distributor I can get you Napa part numbers
Firing Order checked out ok, only getting spark from cyl #4, getting strong spark to dist cap but using new plug external to the engine only received a good spark on cyl #4, it would appear that the cap needs replacement, may also replace the points, rotor, just have to find a local rep that carries the parts. Can't really tell if I have a fuel problem until a get spark on all 4. Unless someone has other ideas.
yes #1 is on the fan end of the engine ;o)
note the rotation of the rotor when turning the engine over
then bring it up on #1 cylinder TDC to find the #1 wireslot in dist cap. Then using the rotation check the wiring order around the distributor in the direction of rotor rotation. As was said it should be 1342
if thats correct then i'd take some starting fluid or brake cleaner and mist the air filter and crank the engine , if it cranks up and runs then you most likly have a problem in the fuel system too. lockoff or lp filter, out of lp gas etc etc....
Awesome.
Is cyl #1 numbered from the front of the engine where the fan is located and where is cyl #1 on the distributor cap. The coil input is front right, maybe using that as a reference, I don't want to be off by a cylinder. Thanks.
Is it a 4 or 6 cyl flathead?
