Discussion:
CODE E118

I know that everyone knows that a code E118 is usually batteries. I had an E118 this morning and I found 2 bad batteries. Changed the batteries and the code was still there. I had 25+ volts on the battery and the controller/contactor. I started moving the main harness on the left of the lift and the code cleared. Does anyone know what wire the 25 volts goes to the main control board in the control handle that sets off the code

Thanks
in advance

Code E118 Master Control Relay K4 Welded

As stated before, remove the handle assembly from the drive unit, and inspect for shorting wire's inside the handle stem where they pivot by the switches, and also inspect the motor/brake cables where they go down through to the motor/brake.
Also check the K4 relay its the little black one between the horn and motor controller. It should have a diagram on the side of it to show you what each terminal is.
Check everything on the K4 circuit, pump contact, brake, lower sol valve, horn

Also code E115 is not in the manual,
E115 Contactor Off, Welded or Missing, or Faulty Power Amp
Description - Controller could not close contactor (contactor off), contactor welded, or contactor missing.

@ RAYTECH

Yes I am sure the E118 code does not appear in the manual. It is uslly caused by bad batteries but in this case the batteries are not badd

@stam - Do you recall which 2 wires were the problem.

wiring under the handle stem can get rubbed as the steer arm turns left and right.
I had one like this once and it would only trip an error code once and a while, 2 wires had the outer shielding worn down and the copper wires would touch the frame intermittently.

Are you sure on that code ? I have no E118 for a model 102XM
Undo that harness so you cab "touch" each wire lightly to get a code or error
