Discussion:
Code 69

I read about the code 69. I have checked around the connector, I have even gone as far as replacing the throttle pedal. I clear the codes but as soon as I touch the throttle, the code comes back and the engine derates. I suspect shorted wires but need to know if anyone can supply a diagram as the wires going to the throttle pedal don't seem to add up. Hopefully someone can help me out.
Serial number is GB-00804

Thanks.
I will check those tomorrow. Seems that the blue wires to the pedal are shorted but cannot confirm without diagram, local dealer is not being helpful.

Check the wires and plug attached to the electronic throttle body. If moving the wiring changes the engine RPM or allows the throttle to work you have found your problem. Another problem area is broken wires where the harness runs over the transmission under the clamps. Occasionally the connector to the SECM can have a pin back out or maybe corrosion in this area. Make sure your plugs and wiring to the distributor are ok, can also cause loss of throttle.
