Discussion:
check engin light and over heat

i did a good bit of research on this and found no answer.
this lift truck starts fine and runs for a good while then out of nowhere a check engine light pops up and then over heat and it hits limp mode.. if i kill it and start it back up it runs fine all over again.

things i tried/looked at the 6 pin connection by the bat. i jumped the first 2 pins and the check engine light flashed 1 time then paused and then flashed one time again.. so the code is 1

I'm told that means its lean or rich , idle high or low.
somebody please help me out with this...
