The V925 was built by Kaldnes for Cat and Kaldnes is now owned by Svetruck.
Is there a tag on the axle ,I seen a wack of different axles on machines.
you would be right edward
this big monster is not listed in mfca's database. The largest truck they list is a V330C.
As far as this V925 i'm sure there is media for this truck somewhere but as you said this was built back when cat was building their lift trucks and not farming it out to someone else so as for mfca having it? they might but he would have to ask for it.
Or if there is some remote shop somewhere that has worked on these at some point they may have a manual handy but locating them might be a challenge. But if he got with the dealer that sold the truck they may be able to find out about a manual and sell him one.
and yes, knowing the symptom may help us help him figure it out. ;o)
I've worked on big trucks and the P20000 has air over hydraulic on it... maybe there are some similarities between the two.
I would be kind of surprised if there were electronic format (PDFs or HTML) manuals for this truck, and kind of think it is not so much an MCFA product as it was most likely made before the "joint venture" that created MCFA, (but I could be wrong) and is more of a Cat lift truck product. I was kind of "married" to a v925 back in the early days of the V925s. I do think that your local Cat forklift dealer can get up with tech support at MCFA to get the information, schematics and manuals you need, but it may take a few weeks to get the printed manual in your hands and a few days to get any sort of information. my memory of this truck's brakes are that it is air over hydraulics over a wet "clutch pack" type brake system that is integrated into the 'final gear reduction drive' at the wheels, and nothing is small on this unit.
what are the symptoms you are dealing with?
