Hello, I am resurrecting an older Cat V50D serial # 3EC6078. I have managed to get this machine running, but am having trouble with the worn out carburator and cannot seem to find a rebuild kit or replacement. Unit has a Peugot XN1P engine that was converted to LPG, and I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the carburator with a proper propane mixer / carb, and if so what make and model was used? Also wondering if someone could tell me the year of this machine by the serial number. Thanks in advance for any input.

I am wondering if you had any success on getting a new carb. I am in the same boat now with a 1991 T50D.. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Bolt pattern is 2-3/8" (60mm) center to center, inside bore is 1-1/4" (32mm). Original carb is a Solex F90714.
Measure centre / centre of bolt pattern, I think the one I used was for a Toyota lift truck,send me the meaurments,i will figure something out.

The original governor as well as the carb was originally produced by Solex and has not been available for years now. There was a conversion kit to change it to Impco but the Hoof governor company went bankrupt and no one has produced the S100 governor that is needed to do the conversion to Impco. Try giving Century Fuel Products a call they may have a conversion kit using a different brand of governor. 734-728-0300

Any chance you could give me some more information on this velocity govenor? I cannot seem to find any parts place that can supply one to me. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

you can install a velocity governor under the carb
Impco ca125 mixer. Model j regulator with electric lock off.
All I've seen is lpg ones. Don't know about governor.
I can get back with year if nobody else has by then.
