CAT NRR40 Intermittent reach

Working on a CAT NRR40 that will intermittently not reach. It will reach more often at low heights, once it does, the reach works until you stop using the command and try it again. The truck is not , eaking and hydraulic oil is full. Everything else on the truck functions correctly.

typically an open in the overmast cable.
the reach solenoid is right infront of the cluster on top of the carriage under a plate with 2 bolts holding it down. some techs use 18/8 overmast cable. if so there is 2 extra wires in the cable you can substitute the reach solenoid wire for the time being to prove its the cable.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
