The closest depot of theirs that's listed for me is their one at Hessle, about 130 miles south!
It just may be that Cat is pushing hard to get more coverage in this market; their product line is very comprehensive and complete since their takeover of the Bucyrus company a few years back.
Do you live near an Impact handing depot by any chance?
They used to be Toyota agents, Nissan for a short time and now Cat, this could be the reason why. We however never come up against Cat when we are quoting for sales or hire.
This sounds very plausible indeed. Some time ago, Toyota trucks were all the rage, now these have pretty much disappeared and replaced by the above mentioned.
One company I've hardly ever seen examples of is TCM. I wonder if these will be the next big boy on the block then?

I have seen where a dealer makes a push in my area- all of a sudden I start seeing a new brand or service trucks in my area. Usually lasts a little while, then another dealer with another brand makes their rounds.
I service a suburb of a large city. In the city you see all major brands, but out here, you rarely see a major dealer last very long- there's simply not enough business to make it profitable I think
