Discussion:
Brakes

I have a customer with a Yale, propane sitdown truck. Model LC52LT2524P with serial # AH-102882. I know that it is an oldie and most times we wouldn't mess with it. Are brake parts like the master cylinder still available? Can anyone bring me close as to the year of this truck? It is used once a week at a hardware store to unload sand, blocks, ferilizer etc. A stacker truck would do them well but they just want this to go. No brakes and no fluid coming out of the mastercylinder. Thanks.

The part number weas dead on. Thank you. Replaced the master cylinder and drove it a few minutes and blew the right side brake line. Took everything apart and found all 4 bolts that hold the backing plate in place broken off about 3/8" in the housing. Saved all of the holes and put back together and all is well at this time.

Thanks guys for the information and part number. I will check out the master cylinder and hopefully be on our way. I will let you know if I need other parts. Thanks again, maybe we can get back to modern models now.

Those were made in the '60's. They had a International Harvester motor, which is the same as a farm tractor. The master cylinder # is 0261506-00 and is available. I have a parts book for them if you need any other numbers.

I can access Yale's parts data and get you part numbers if you want. I'm a tech though, not a parts guy. The problem I'm having is your model/serial. The website doesn't recognize them, maybe you could re-check them just to be sure. Or maybe take a picture and post that so I can ID the truck that way.
