Hyster H60XM:
black smoke

a lot of black smoke and smelling like fuel when running this forklift has a Mazda engine, inspected spark plugs, only 1 looked like a bunch of soot and smelled like fuel, others appeared normal. runs rough at idle changed the in-line fuel filter and air filter no changes probably runs a little worst. No problem starting just running erratic and smokes with fumes. Any advice what to check or purchase to eliminate this problem?

A compression check would be the way to start to figure out what's wrong.
