Discussion:
Back alarm

I replaced the directional switch in the column, and for some reason the back alarm is staying on all the time, when key and seat switch is on, I've checked the contactor, and wiring, the wire to the back alarm is 0 ohms to the key switch, checked and rechecked the wiring on the direction switches, I.m wondering if it is programmable or if I've actually missed something, I have 2 of these in NS and 0 info, any help?

Are the reverse lights on too? Check K2 relay. (swap with K1 for test). No pinched wiring behind assembly? column harness o.k? Wiring if your facing dir.control assy would be yellow on left rear top switch. black on left rear bottom switch. 2939 on left front bottom switch. 2938 right front on bottom switch. and 2937 on right rear bottom switch. 2940 on right rear top switch looped to 2937. whew!!! let us know!!
