7fgcu 32. 2003 intermitent start and run

I have two issues. hard cold starts and intermittent shutdowns.when it will not start and or shuts off i have no spark at plugs and loose 12 volts at lp lock off.i do have 12 volts from key to distributor.my manual doesnt show where to find lp relay, elect.schematic shows it,also it shows reverse switch in the cirquitI would appreciate any help.

Ok I checked grounds,llook ok,I also replaced what toyota calls spark generater inside distributer, sounds like what bbforks suggested.ran it in shop runs good.Im giving it back to operator run it througg its paces.If it fails i will post more info.Thanks forl all the help

Thanks bbforks. Ok located relay,appears to have possibly gotten hotit has asmall round circle of rust on side.Idont have a spare to change out, wondering if i could swap out with one of other relays.There is another one justlike it not sure what it controls,tried matching wire color on schematic no luck.I am currently checking out distributor wiring.Thanks for quick reply.Iam a newbie,my first post.This is cool stuff

I would check the wiring at the distributor- there's a tach sensor which the ecm needs input from to turn on the lp system. Also the no spark issue would be a dist issue if there's power to the dist.

The lp relay is under the fuse panel, behind the panel by the left step - as seated on the machine
