Discussion:
1996 S50XM Only has Foward

I purchased this forklift at a Auction. It will only go forward. If I put it in neutral it still goes forward and if I put it in reverse it will not move. Almost like it is in forward and revers at the same time. I have been told that the forward clutch is locked up. Is there anything else I should check before I pull the transmission out??? The only testing I have done so far is to unplug both shift solenoids. It did not change anything.

Second question. What is the best way to pull the transmission out??

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
