ExpoShipping 2002 International Shipping Exhibition and Conference.
The organisers state that the Turkish shipping sector which shows a continuous development with its fleet, shipbuilding industry and fishing sector has made a great leap during the last ten years and reached a market volume of 9.45 billion US dollars. Due to the development of the ports, the cargo volume reached to 186.345.867 tonnes in 2000 and, according to the initial estimates, to 171.076.340 tonnes in 2001, and so the shipping sector attained a powerful potential for the years to come. By constructing ships for the world fleets the shipbuilding industry has commenced to compete with the world markets. At a time of maritime sector's achieving great development.
EXPOSHIPPING 2002 will be opened to introduce the related products and services to the world markets. It will prove the strong position in maritime sector of our country Türkiye which, with its situation, has an important place in the globalized world.
EXPOSHIPPING 2002 will provide new business and cooperation opportunities for the maritime sector.
