Forklift Championships 2015 - Brisbane

Australia, Brisbane - 4th December 2015
The Forklift Championships 2015 is coming to an exciting conclusion. Many of the contestants have been honing their driving skills in recent months to navigate the tight course without losing critical points. The winner is the person with the lowest number of penalty points within a set timeframe. The 2014 champions, Jayde Graham and Noel Knowles will defend their titles.

We have selected a number of judges from three States of Australia. All have forklift assessment and licencing as part of their daily job role. The new LF licence assessment recently changed using simpler language and assessment processes. This new model assessment will be used in the forklift championship.

The Construction Training Centre (CTC) has provided the venue for the competition and the committee have welcomed their support. The championship is on 4th December commencing at 8.30am. Last year saw a major storm on the previous afternoon causing wide spread hail damage and flooding across Brisbane. This did not dampen the enthusiasm of the contestants.

Linde Material Handling is the sponsor providing two (2) new battery electric forklifts for this year?s competition. The finalists will be able to familiarise themselves with the great features of the Linde forklift prior to their competition heat. Linde management will present the winners trophies.

Chep are providing the Pallets and cages.

The format has changed this year. Instead of having champion male and female there will now be one outright winner and 2nd and 3rd places awarded. The novelty winner is not based on skill alone and includes an amount of luck. No one will have any idea about the novelty event until the day of the competition.
