3rd Intermodal Africa 2005 Exhibition & Conference Hosted by Tanzania Harbours Authority.

Following the success of the 2nd Intermodal Africa 2004 Exhibition and Conference hosted this year by South Africa, next year, on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 February 2005, the next two days Pan-African and international Exhibition and Conference called the 3rd Intermodal Africa 2005 Tanzania Exhibition and Conference will be hosted by the Tanzania Harbours Authority and fully supported by Tanzania Railways Corporation and Tanzania Airports Authority taking place at the Royal Palm Hotel, Dar Es Salaam.
* This event is the largest annual Container Ports and Terminal Operations Exhibition and Conference on the African continent
* The 2 days conference will feature 30 world-class conference speakers in global transport and logistics attended by a prestigious and impressive gathering of 350 senior executive delegates from the world's leading shippers, cargo owners, shipping lines, freight forwarders, importers/exporters, logistics companies, importers/exporters, ports, terminal operating companies, railway operators, port equipment and services suppliers from the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region.
* There will an Exhibition of 45 exhibitors and sponsors showcasing latest products and services to more than 500 international and regional participants at this prestigious Pan African annual international Exhibition and Conference.

Fact of the week
At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
