FMS Technology has been the distributor for the Weighsafe products in Africa since 2011. Andrew Sym, owner of FMS Technology, met Colin Belbin of Weighsafe in June 2011, when they both attended the Guangzhou forklift trade fair in China. With both companies working in the same field and supplying complimentary products FMS Technology was appointed as the distributor for Weighsafe products in Africa in July 2011.

For the past two years FMS Technology has supplied the Weighsafe WDU2001 to the African market with a resounding success. The Weighsafe has been well accepted by both the "end user " and forklift truck dealers, with most dealers offering the Weighsafe as an optional extra on both rental and direct sales. "Customers using the WDU2001 have found it to be accurate and reliable, it has proved to be a very popular add-on & we are looking forward to offering the WDU-MINI as a further option for our customers" says Marco Caverni Sales Director of Masslift Africa. "The current WDU2001 complements our current products and the Mitsubishi CLASIDiA which has minimal electronics. We will add the Weighsafe mini to our optional extras with confidence. All products supplied by FMS Technology are available on our forklifts" says Marco. "They have all shown reliability and a significant cost savings for our customers in our harsh African conditions"
