Finalists for the UK Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) awards, known as the Archies, will be revealed at the end of the month.

Voting starts in November.

The FLTA will list finalists for the four product and service categories of environment, safety, ergonomics and innovation, and nomination details, on its website at the end of October. Candidates for supplier, apprentice, and employee of the year, services to the FLTA, design achievement and lifetime achievement awards are being considered.

An official voter's ballot card will be sent to FLTA members in late November. The card will also be included in a supplement in the December edition of UK materials handling and logistics magazine, ShD. Voting closes on January 31, 2007.

Organisers said the awards ceremony, on February 3, 2007, would have a James Bond theme, for the second time in the awards' 13-year history. Casino tables featured in the James Bond movie "The World is not Enough" would be used on the night for roulette and card games.

Award sponsors include Albury Asset Rentals, Doosan Infracore UK, Narrow Aisle, CMP Batteries, Mitsubishi Fork Lift Trucks, GE Commercial Finance and Samuk Lift Trucks.
