Aerial lift specialist Trico Lift has moved its headquarters 34 mi. (54 km) to Mickleton and closed a Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, branch that was 10 mi. (16 km) from Mickleton.

Millville, New Jersey, was previously Trico Lift's main facility. Mickleton is significantly closer to the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

The new headquarters has 30,000 sqft. (2,787 sqm) of service space, 4,000 sqft. (372 sqm) for the parts department and 14,500 sqft. (1,347) for offices and a multi-media training space. The site also has a paint shop.

Chris Carmolingo, chief executive officer and president, says: "We have designed our parts and service areas and our paint shop to specifications that cover the equipment we currently offer, the equipment we service for customers, and equipment we anticipate adding to our growing fleet. We will [also] have space to support our initiatives in aerial lift training and certification and for back-office support of our branch locations throughout the United States."

Trico Lift represents Terex Corp's aerial work platform segment, including the Genie brand, of Redmond, Washington; Oshkosh Corp's access equipment segment, including the JLG brand, of McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania; and MEC Aerial Work Platforms, of Kerman, California.

Trico Lift has other locations in South Plainfield, New Jersey, south west of New York; King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, north west of Philadelphia; Baltimore, Maryland; Tomball, Texas, north west of Houston; and San Antonio, Texas.

In January, Trico Lift added Chuck Heintz as an industrial sales representative working in Mickleton and Rudy Limon as south-west region account manager, working in Tomball.

Trico Lift has roots extending back to 1952 when Joe Pustizzi convinced a manufacturer to give him some pieces of equipment on consignment. The business has transitioned from farm equipment to construction units and eventually into the aerial work platform market, offering boom lifts, scissor lifts and rough terrain and telescopic forklifts.

Trico Lift focused on rental, sales, leasing and servicing lift products after separating from the original earth moving business in 2007. At that time, Trico Lift moved its headquarters to Millville and established a fleet maintenance centre exceeding 28,000 sqft. (2,601 sqm).

Co-founder Ken Pustizzi, the founder's son, retired from the top positions in early 2013. Carmolingo, an 18-year veteran with the company and previously chief operating officer, succeeded Pustizzi as CEO and president.
