"Spin-off" trade fair for power transmission and control technology to take place in Sao Paulo from 19-22 March 2013 Hannover. Business is improving rapidly for manufacturers in the power transmission and control technology sector. At the trade fair Motion, Drive & Automation (MDA), the international summit for this industrial sector at
HANNOVER MESSE 2011, approx. 1,300 companies from 65 countries will be showcasing their products and innovations.
As of March 2013, Deutsche Messe AG will be staging
MDA SOUTH AMERICA in Sao Paulo. The city will also be hosting the first
CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA, which takes place from 4 to 7 April 2011 and - with the support of more than 200 exhibitors - looks set to enjoy an outstanding trade fair premiere. "We will hold MDA SOUTH AMERICA in conjunction with the next CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA in March 2013. In other words, we are using the same format as at HANNOVER MESSE and are exporting to South America the idea of organizing several leading trade fairs together under one umbrella. MDA and CeMAT complement each offer perfectly. We have already successfully put this to the test at other foreign trade fair venues. The South American market holds a great deal of potential for the intralogistics sector as well as for companies in the power transmission and control technology sector", says Dr. Andreas Gruchow, member of the Board of Deutsche Messe AG.
Power transmission and control technology accounts for a turnover of around 19.6 billion Euros, which easily makes it the biggest segment of mechanical engineering in Germany. Russia, India and China are among the main target markets for the sector. Deutsche Messe has already exported a "sister event" to all three countries which is modelled on the original in Hannover, the leading international trade fair MDA.
VDMA - the German Engineering Federation - has given its full support to the MDA premiere in South America: "For the member companies within the VDMA sector Power Transmission and Control Technology Brazil represents an important market for the future. It is therefore heartening to learn that following the successful establishment of MDA events in China (PTC ASIA), India (MDA INDIA) and Russia (MDA RUSSIA) there will now also be an MDA as a similar flagship event taking place in South America as from March 2013. In the growth markets in particular - the BRIC countries - German power transmission and control technology has performed convincingly over the past few years", says Hartmut Rauen, director of the VDMA sector Power Transmission and Control Technology.
The Italian Fluid Technology Association Assofluid has also voiced its support of MDA SOUTH AMERICA. Giorgio Beretta, President of the association Assofluid, says: "In view of the continued growth of the Brazilian economy, the decision of Deutsche Messe AG to organize MDA SOUTH AMERICA is well-advised and augers well for Italian companies in fluid technology that are looking for new markets."
