Toyota Material Handling has launched a new line of electric pneumatic forklifts with 48V and 80V models designed to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

The new models have lift capacities ranging from 3,000 lb. (1.3 T) to 7,000 lb. (3.2 T).

Toyota Material Handling senior vice president of engineering, operations and strategic planning Tony Miller says the new models suited a versatile range of terrains and work sites, such as lumberyards, home centres, landscaping and store support applications.

“Our goal at Toyota is to embrace the spirit of kaizen, or continuous improvement, in everything we do and every product we offer,” Miller says.

All forklifts in the range are fitted with Toyota’s System of Active Stability (SAS), Operator Presence Sensing System (OPSS) and a regenerative braking system.
