I am often on sites where frankly I am amazed that the forklifts are still mobile. Looking at the state of the tyres one would imagine that it is a risk just to get on the machine never mind start it.
So to put into context, a day in the life of Teddy the Tyre can be quite challenging. He starts off life as the crème de la crème of rubber products, terribly proud of his tread protrusions and nice new rubber smell. Not much later he's been on an crash diet and lost a lot of weight because of all the races, burnouts and figure 8's, is covered in un- attractive holes because of the uneven terrain and debris scattered throughout his path. If he is lucky he ends up recycled into user friendly sandals or doormats. What an unsatisfying life. Taking into account Teddy's very limited life cycle we decided to establish an NGO to assist Teddy in becoming all he can be.
We established a Support Centre, a Bureau service and backed this up with daily doses of Speed Limiting, Harsh Braking/Acceleration detection, Transmission protection to prevent wheel spin in pull off and gear change, and then added a healthy dose of Driver Trend analysis.
