Terex links equipment services in Ohio centre News Story - 13 Sep 2012 ( #582 ) - Redmond, WA, United States 1 min read The North American service operation of Terex Corp's materials handling and port solutions (MHPS) business segment reports the opening of a Terex Equipment Services (TES) centre in Columbus, Ohio to service all brands of aerial and industrial crane equipment in the Great Lakes region.The move links TES and the Terex Crane America Services (CAS) together for the first time, according to Siva Balakrishnan, vice president and global manager of the Terex aerial work platforms business segment."CAS has many strengths to offer our aerial customers as . . . a recognised leader in providing equipment maintenance," he notes.The 17,500 sqft. (1,626 sqm) location in Columbus has two full bays, additional available space and a secure yard.More than 400 field and service technicians are located now at 15 TES centres throughout the US providing maintenance repair and reconditioning and refurbishment services for aerial work platforms, cranes, telehandlers, utility equipment, winches, service bodies and portable lighting.Terex manufactures aerial work platform equipment in Redmond and Moses Lake, Washington; Umbertide, Italy; Coventry, England; and Changzhou, China. The segment makes telehandlers in Moses Lake and Umbertide.Publicly traded Westport, Connecticut-based Terex reported profit of USD81.2 million on 2011 sales of USD6.50 billion.
