TAP will supply Kivnon's automated equipmentSpanish robot-maker Kivnon has announced German-based TAP will distribute its automated equipment, including self-driving forklifts.
Kivnon, which makes autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automated guided vehicles (AGVs), says the partnership was a significant milestone for both companies.
Kivnon France country manager Jose Pantaleao says: “Thanks to TAP’s reach and automation expertise, we can supply autonomous vehicles to a larger audience with full confidence that TAP will implement them to take full advantage of their automation potential.”
TAP Group sales director Damien Marie says: “Many of our clients’ projects involve advanced automation of materials handling and warehousing operations, which involves deploying one or more AGVs or AMRs to reduce cost and increase productivity and safety. This is a real opportunity to optimise our clients’ supply chain.”
Kivnon’s automated products are suitable for a wide range of applications in the automotive, food, aerospace and retail sectors. The company exports to more than 17 countries and is seeking to expand in Europe, North America and South America.
TAP Group’s Storagis brand is focused on storage projects, solutions and equipment for automotive and logistic applications.
