The ifollow autonomous mobile robot is part of Movu's product rangeBelgian storage company Stow Group has rebranded its robotics unit as Movu Robotics.
The unit, originally named Stow Robotics, was set up in 2021 as the company moved into automated and robotic solutions for pallets, bins and other alternatives to stacker cranes.
Movu will be an independent stand-alone business based in new facilities in Lokeren, near Antwerp, that includes sales, finance, engineering, research and development, production and a demonstration centre.
Stow Group chief executive Jos de Vuyst says: “Faced with challenges of labour shortages, cost increases, storage density, growing volumes and improving accuracy, companies are turning to robotics and automation for solutions.
“Movu Robotics offers an integrated ecosystem of standardised and scalable automation technology that speeds roll out and reduces risk for all kinds of customers.”
Stow Robotics chief executive Stefan Pieters will remain at the helm of the new brand.
Movu’s product range includes pallet shuttles, bin shuttles, picking robots and the ifollow autonomous mobile robot (AMR).
